Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.
Service:

Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment will be in the Smyrna Cemetery near New Hartford.
Pallbearers: Darrol Withrow, Dayton Withrow, Christopher Motley, Rick Gilliman, Jamie Logerman and Elbert Logerman.

Clara Belle (Walker) Motley passed away at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at her home in Vandalia. She lived most of her life between New Hartford and Vandalia. After school, she started working for Ely Walker Garment Factory in Vandalia as a seamstress for several years. After her marriage to "Doc", Clara Belle became a full-time homemaker on the family farm. She was a longtime member of the New Hartford Baptist Church and enjoyed dancing, embroidery, gardening and canning.

Born: October 6, 1915 in Chattam, Illinois the daughter of John Morgan and Mary Ann (Ramsey) Walker.

Married: Elbert Phipps "Doc" Motley in Bowling Green on June 29, 1940; he preceded her in death on March 3, 1986.

Survivors include: numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; husband, "Doc"; seven brothers: Benjamin Walker, Colbie Walker, Jim Walker, Bill Walker, Gene Walker and Hubert Walker (twins) and Roby Walker; six sisters: Mallie Stinson, Birdie Walker, Ruby Motley, Minnie Motley, Hazel Walker and Ellen Walker.

Memorials are encouraged to American Cancer Society.
