Charles Thomas "Tommy" Sutton passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013 at the family's home in Vandalia. Tommy grew up in the Bowling Green area and was 1 1950 Bowling Green high school graduate. After school, he worked a short time at the Shell station in Louisiana before joining the U. S. Air Force. While in the service, Tommy spent most of his five years stationed in Germany. Upon his return from the Air Force, he worked a short time as an insurance adjuster for MFA. He then worked for Hercules in Louisiana for a few years before becoming a pipefitter. Tommy worked for many years as a pipefitter and retired in 1987. He was a member of the First Baptist Church for many years. Tommy was a charter member of the Vandalia Flying Club and really loved flying. He also enjoyed wooodworking and in past years had helped with the Khoury League teams in Vandalia.

Born: April 9, 1932 in Bowling Green, Missouri the son of Charles Wyverne and Julia (Simpson) Sutton.

Married: Ann Bobbeth Welborn on November 1957.

Survivors include: wife, Bobbeth of Vandalia; two sons, Jeffrey Scott Sutton of Vandalia; Jon Patrick and wife Erin Christine Sutton of LaVista, Nebraska; one brother, Bobby Wayne and wife, Connie Sutton of Aurora, Illinois; two sisters

Preceded in death by: parents; three brothers, Edward Sutton, Jay Hearn and Richard Sutton.
