Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.
Service:

Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: selected favorite songs.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Wendell Branstetter, Rick Branstetter, Lee Branstetter, Ron Branstetter, Steve Branstetter and Ben McLean.

Charles "David" Branstetter passed away at 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Country View Nursing Facility in Bowling Green, Missouri. David grew up and attended schools in the New Harmony and Estes area of Pike County, Missouri. He bought a farm near Laddonia in the early 1960's where he and Georgia Nell made their home. David also worked for many years at the North American Refractories in Farber before retiring. He was a Christian by faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Born: April 4, 1926 in Frankford, Missouri the son of William Henry and Bernice (Jenkins) Branstetter.

Married: Georgia Nell Hodges on July 10, 1968 in Maryville, Illinois; she preceded him in death on December 5, 1981.

Survivors include: three brothers: Randall L. Branstetter of Fairview Heights, Illinois; Jim and wife, Carol Branstetter of Ironton, Missouri; Jack Branstetter of Bowling Green; also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by: parents; wife, Georgia Nell; three brothers: Brooks Branstetter, Richard Branstetter and Bobby Gene Branstetter; three sisters: Julia Eccles, Maureen Reed and Sue Knox.

Memorials are encouraged to the American Cancer Society.
