Bonita Sue Maiden
Bonita "Bonnie" Sue Maiden, age 62, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 4:32 pm Sunday, October 3, 2021, at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Waters Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Lehenbauer will officiate.
Visitation celebrating Bonnie's life will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Waters Funeral Home.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Waters Funeral Home of Vandalia.
Bonnie was born on November 1, 1958, in Fort Leonard Wood, MO, the daughter of Burl "Mac" and Mary (Willis) McReaken.
Survivors include, Daughter, Stacey (Pat) Hill of Hannibal, MO; Son, Dustin Maiden of Vandalia, MO; Ex-Husband and Friend, Tracey Maiden of Vandalia, MO and her Nephews, Mike, Clifton, Tony and Jacob McReaken.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; and Brother, Richard McReaken.
Bonnie was a role model to her children, not just Stacey and Dustin but the others that called her "Mom". She had a big heart for kids and was known for fostering several other children in Vandalia. She was a softball coach for the kids Khoury League and would do anything to help with them. She loved bowling and was a member of the Professional Women's Bowling Association and a state lane inspector for many years. She was a member of the Vandalia Area Fair Board and extremely helpful with the community when she was younger. Bonnie also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, fishing, playing cards and bingo.
