Officiating will be: Pastor Tom Day.

Interment will be in the Hays Creek Cemetery north of Vandalia.
Pallbearers: Mike Woodside, Jason Utterback, Robbie Utterback, Jackie Kirtlink, Charles Livers, James Brokes and Rusty Harrison. Honorary pallbearers are the "Curryville Coyote Hunters".
Billy Webb "Pop" Hays Sr. passed away at 6:20 a.m on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital. He attended area schools and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Billy worked as a truck driver after getting out of the service for several years. He then worked for over 40 years as a mechanic for Mottaz Chevrolet and Woodward Automotive in Vandalia and then Harris Chevrolet in Hannibal, Missouri. He lived most of his adult life in the Ralls county area and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Billy was also a member of the American Legion and enjoyed coyote hunting.
Born: February 22, 1930 in rural Vandalia, Missouri the son of Stanley and Marie (Utterback) Webb, who preceded him in death when he was a young boy. He was then adopted by L. Alfred and Mary C. (Foster) Hays.
Married: Birdie Ellen Livers on November 11, 1955 in Vandalia, Missouri; she preceded him in death on September 9, 1975.
Survivors include: two sons: Billy W. Hays Jr. of New London and James B. "Pete" and wife, Diana L. Hays of New London; five daughters: Mary Sue Hays of Vandalia; Anna Marie and husband, Ronald Spires of New London; Nancy and husband, Roger Pipkin of New London; Becky Hays and Linda Hays also of New London; six grandchildren: Heather Hays, Jeremy Hays, Amber Hays, Dustin Hays, Rodney Spires and Jennifer Pipkin; three great-grandchildren: Rebecca Spires, Madison Spires and Trey Brokes; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: biological and adopted parents; wife, Birdie Ellen Hays; two daughters: Sarah Jane Hays and Carol Elaine Hays; three brothers: Gene Webb, Jim Webb and Lee Elliott; five sisters: Mary Ruth Kirtlink, Katherine Johnson, Betty Marie Talbott, Dorothy Hartung and Annie Ballard; one daughter-in-law: Melissa (Long) Hays.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the American Cancer Society in care of Waters Funeral Chapel, P O Box 84, Vandalia, Missouri 63382-0084.
