Oklahoma City

Billy Wayne Fox passed away in Oklahoma City, OK on October 23, 2023, at the age of 72 after a
long battle with heart disease. He was a beloved father and friend who will be deeply missed by all
who knew him.

Bill was born on January 5, 1951 to William H and Ruth I (Schulze) Fox in Vandalia, MO.
He attended Van-Far High School, graduating in 1969. He served in the Army, where he was in the
Service Battery as a mechanic. He was a mechanic by trade for the remainder of his life. When he
wasn’t fixing cars, he worked as a welder. Bill also worked many years raising cows, chickens, and
horses. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. He served as a Boy Scout Leader
for many years. He was also former Vice-President of Gypsy Motorcycle Club of Midwest City.

He enjoyed fixing things. Anything! He was always there to offer guidance for what needed to be
fixed. He enjoyed NACSAR and riding motorcycles. He was a collector of broken things, finding
unconventional uses for the most ordinary objects. He was well known for his big heart.

Bill is survived by his children: son, Chad Hoyt and his wife, Trish; daughter, Elzabeth Esseltine and
her life partner, John Scholten; daughter, Amanda Reeves and her husband, Kevin; and son, William
Fox and his wife, Jamie; grandchildren, Courtney and Cody Hoyt; His sister Becky and her husband,
Alan Teacutter; brothers, Mike and his wife, Debbie Fox; and Mark Fox and his life partner, Aimee
Ashlock. And many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. His former wife, Kathy Hoyt,
mother of Chad; and former wife, Rita Fox and her son Miles, and his faithful dog, Mesha.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Jacqué Rowley, mother of Elizabeth, Amanda, and
William; his father, William H Fox and mother, Ruth Fox; and his devoted dog, Jackson.

A private gathering will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, Billy requests that
donations be made to K9s for Warriors or Dale K. Graham Veterans Foundation.
