Betty Lounette (Young) Bagley, age 76, passed away at 12:54 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Golden Living Center-Pin Oaks in Mexico, Missouri. Betty attended Bowling Green Schools and was a 1958 Bowling Green High School graduate. She was a homemaker until her children were grown, at which time she received her CNA/CMT certification. Betty worked at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia for over 23 years, retiring in 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her children, family and grandchildren. Betty had been a long-time member of the Southside Baptist Church in Vandalia.

Born: January20, 1940 in Cyrene, Missouri the daughter of Robert Lee and Mary Lunette (Thomas) Young.

Married: LeroyA. Bagley on August11, 1960 in Vandalia; he preceded her in death on February 16, 2000.

Survivors include: two daughters, Janet and husband Ralph Grimmett, of Bowling Green; Vicky A. Bagley, of Chillicothe; two step-sons, Harold and Gary Bagley; two sisters, Sue M. and husband Stanley Smith, of Ashland; Rosa L. and husband Allen Clay, of Durango, Colorado; three brothers, Bobby J. and wife Linda Young, of Perry; C. Wayne and wife Jeanette Young, of O’Fallon; Roger D. and wife Sandra Young, of Vandalia; also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her husband Leroy; one son, Stephen L. Sampson; and one daughter,
